Traditionally, the media industry in The Netherlands comprised of print, television, radio, internet, film and gaming, most of which concentrated in the Amsterdam area. These sectors are rapidly converging into one digital cross media industry. The Dutch media industry is well developed, efficient and innovative.
The Dutch Media Hub aims to bundle the rich variety of Dutch creative, media and facility companies. This way becoming the Digital Gateway to Europe. The Dutch Media Hub tries to achieve this by stimulating the co-operation amongst partners and by organizing promotional activities. Together with our partners, we offer a variety of services.
The Netherlands is centrally positioned in Europe and has very good infrastructure within the country, but also connecting it to the rest of Europe. Amsterdam is the heart of the Dutch creative industry and Hilversum, near Amsterdam, serves as a center for national broadcasters and the supplying industry. Both Hilversum and Amsterdam have excellent international fiber connections and Amsterdam hosts the largest Internet exchange of the world: the AMS-IX (Amsterdam Internet Exchange).
